Patch Windows 7 to boot up faster on HDD Video Clips. Duration : 2.42 Mins.

I am quite tired of seeing msconfig videos that does a poop to improve boot speeds, so I patched winload.exe to improve boot speed by reducing the need to display fancy W7 animations during startup. This hack is intended to make your old HDD boot faster, but use it at your own risk. This is already tested on my brand new installation of Windows 7 Pro x86 on both my PC and laptop and found to be working... This is not fully tested on 64-bit Windows 7 so try at your own risk. Instructions: 1) Download package at - www.keyboardmusic.net 2) Extract the files 2.5) (Skip this step if you trust that I would not bundle with awesome virus) Upload the .exe files in the archive to 'www.virustotal.com' and wait for results patiently 3) Run Win7BootUpdater.exe, under 'Animation', select 'Static Image', and select the 'black.jpg' provided, then click 'Apply' 4) BACKUP (rename the .exe to .bak) your 'winload.exe' in "Drive:/Windows/System32" 5) Copy the winload.exe provided in archive into that directory 6) Reboot 7) Kindly report your findings/problems/qualms in the comments section below If Windows 7 cannot boot: 1) Try to boot into safe mode, open Win7BootUpdater.exe, click on 'Options-Restore Backups' 2) If can't even boot to desktop, insert Windows 7 disc and run startup repair utility 3) If can't even repair, remove the hard disk and dispose of it in the furnace. Just kidding, please don't flame or troll. Note: Windows 7 bootup screen will now look like Vista Special thanks to ...
