Diablo III (Intel HD 3000/4000 vs ATI 3470/4570 vs GMA 4500MHD) & Windows 8 RP Sample Video Clips. Duration : 12.52 Mins.

Diablo 3 minimum requirements and a quick glimpse of Windows 8 Release Preview on a tablet PC Overview: Diablo 3 runs 'okay' on an Intel sandybridge (ie: Core i3-2310m, 1 year old) notebook with integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics, but only on lowest graphics quality. It does not run at all on the integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD (~3 years old), nor does it run on old DirectX8 graphics cards (~8 years old). The ATI Radeon 3470M graphics adapter does run the game, although even more poorly than the HD3000. Obviously, the faster ATI 4570M and new Intel HD 4000 chipsets should be able to handle Diablo 3, however they still don't handle it all that well. Other newer discrete graphics chipsets should be okay and since the game is mainly video card intensive, having an older CPU should not be the main limiting factor. 95% of new notebooks should handle Diablo 3 to some extent, although if you want to be safe, buy a new notebook with mid-ranged Nvidia graphics (~0 to 00). ie: The Nvidia Geforce 540 (aka, '630') would offer smooth gameplay at low graphics, although I really would recommend the Nvidia 640M or better if possible. If that's too pricey, buy something with Intel HD 4000 graphics (aka, newest Gen 3 Intel Core i5-3210M and up) for about 0. Avoid AMD/ATI notebooks/graphics unless you know what you are doing since AMD likes to bundle their notebooks with crappy CPUs and confusing graphics card names. ie: The Radeon 6520m isn't as fast as it sounds, especially if it has ...
